UPDATE: It appears as if the video has been taken down due to a copyright infringement claim. You can still watch the shorter version on IMDb below.

National Film Society has been producing content for IMDb for the last couple years, and during that time I’ve had the chance to work with some great creators. One of them is film buff Brandon Hardesty of the No Small Parts YouTube channel, a fan-made documentary series about character actors. I’ve enjoyed Brandon’s videos for a while, and some of you may have seen his short James Hong IMDb video going around:

It covers some of Hong’s greatest roles throughout his illustrious career and went around my Facebook echo chamber like wildfire. However, that 3-minute video was just a taste of what Brandon had in store. He, in fact, put together the epic one hour and seven minute piece on Hong’s oeuvre at the top of this page.

This obviously hits close to home because of Hong’s iconic performance as Lo Pan in Big Trouble in Little China and because he’s simply a legend. Seriously, how many actors can boast over 400 acting credits over a 60 year span? Also, I think we asked him three or four times to be in Awesome Asian Bad Guys. Though he graciously declined due to scheduling conflicts, it would be a dream come true to work with him in the future.

So if you’re out there, James, let’s talk!
